Join us to create a velvet painting inspired by the Velvet Elvis craze of the 1970s using black velvet, pastels, and black light paint! Velvet paintings, which originated in the Kashmir region of India and were popularized in Mexico, often featured animals, landscapes, or musicians, and velvet paintings of Elvis Presley are still the most well-known version of this art form. Bring your imagination and make velvet art with us! All ages. Presented in support of Ford Community Day. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Free.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to partner with the Ford Motor Company Fund for the fourteenth Ford Community Day on Sunday, December 11. Museum admission will be free from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and tours of Historic RCA Studio B will also be free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
