Pop songwriter and music industry executive. Died January 27, 1994. President, American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). Lyricist, worked with numerous composers, including Hoagy Carmichael, Oscar Levant, and Victor Herbert. Songwriting credits include “What a Difference a Day Made,” “Little Old Lady,” and “A Heart That’s True (There Are Such Things).”
