The Museum travels to the Clarksville’s Downtown Commons for a banjo bash! Banjo professional and educator Robin Ruddy, who wrote and produced the children’s album Miss Robin’s Musical Farm, will lead this hands-on workshop. Participants will learn about the banjo—a popular instrument in country music that originated in Africa— hear some songs, and dance to the music before trying the banjo themselves. Presented in support of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. Takes place at Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St., Clarksville, TN, 37040. Recommended for ages 7 and up, but all are welcome. Free.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will be moved indoors to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library atrium, 350 Pageant Ln. #501, Clarksville, TN, 37040.
