Learn about the guitar from various perspectives in this afternoon-long experience: hear it played, learn its history, and see it represented in visual art from the past two centuries. Presented in partnership with the Frist Art Museum in support of its exhibition Storied Strings: The Guitar in American Art, this experience will include a forty-five-minute performance by an accomplished guitarist, a guided tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum focusing on some of the most significant guitars on display, and a guided tour of Storied Strings at the Frist Art Museum. Experience begins at the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. $45. $30 for Frist Art Museum members. Tickets available here. Complimentary parking at the Frist included with program ticket. Transportation between museums not provided.
