Country music disc jockey. Born October 7, 1922. Died October 15, 1998. Career active late 1940s-1970s. Worked as a disc jockey, documentary narrator, author, and college lecturer. Honored as Country Music Man of the Year in 1971 by the Academy of Country Music. Member, Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame.
