Taylor Swift Education Center

Home to the Museum’s award-winning educational programs, the Taylor Swift Education Center offers a fun space for unique hands-on experiences connected to the Museum’s content.

A Space for Exploration and Curiosity

Two floors and 7,500 square feet, the Taylor Swift Education Center features a gallery, classrooms, a studio, a videoconference lab, interpretative materials, and interactive experiences that promote learning for all ages. Open during Museum hours, the education center’s gallery presents artifacts from Taylor Swift and other artists, as well as youth and community artworks inspired by the Museum’s holdings. With programs that include curriculum-connected activities for school groups, tailored programs for toddlers, and engaging music and art programs designed for the whole family, the Taylor Swift Education Center is a dedicated space where visitors of all ages can explore, discover, and create while experiencing the culture of country music.

Culture Created in Community – Making music and art together not only encourages people to collaborate in powerful and innovative ways, but it also builds community. Every artifact displayed in the Taylor Swift Education Center celebrates communities created by artists. These include Dolly Parton’s community of literacy, Taylor Swift’s community of fans, and the Gee’s Bend community of quiltmakers who inspired local works. The record-breaking Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour sold out 149 stadiums across five continents between March 2023 and December 2024. In recognition of the tour and its fan community, artifacts from her “Fearless” set of the tour are currently on display, including Swift’s custom Roberto Cavalli couture silver fringed dress with crystal embellishments, Christian Louboutin silver embellished boots worn by Swift, and Swift’s Gibson J-180 Custom Crystal guitar. Special artwork commemorating the 2023 U.S. leg of the tour that incorporates friendship bracelets Swift received from fans is also on display.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Celebrating thirty years of service in 2025, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library encourages young children to develop a love of reading. Learn more about the program and view a custom-designed, multi-colored patchwork blouse worn by Dolly Parton in May 2022 to talk about the success of her Imagination Library program.

Gee’s Bend, Alabama is home to a celebrated community of female quilters whose artistic traditions have been passed down through generations. In fall 2024, the Museum’s Haley Gallery presented Heritage: Southern Vernacular, an exhibit that included new works by Gee’s Bend quilters. Students from Metro Nashville Public Schools and individuals connected with Smart Art + Craft Supplies, an organization that serves adults with intellectual disabilities, were invited to experience the exhibit and create their own quilts, which is on display until March 2025.

Interactive Recording Experience

Visitors will soon be invited to step inside a recording booth, choose from four iconic songs, and create their own video to share on social media. The Experience includes a wall showcasing Taylor Swift’s 16 RIAA plaques alongside the 29 most recently released and certified country albums as of July 31, 2025.

KultureCity Sensory Room

Second Floor

For some individuals, going to public places can be overwhelming due to sensory overload. The Museum is a KultureCity-certified Sensory Inclusive® location and provides sensory bags and other simple modifications to help create an accepting and inclusive environment for everyone. Designed as a safe space for visitors with sensory sensitivities, the KultureCity Sensory Room is available for use with a passcode, which is located inside the Sensory Inclusive Bag.

Located in the Taylor Swift Education Center and in the Museum galleries, coloring pages focus on instruments, exhibits, and other elements of country music history.

Young Explorer Kits and Sensory Bags

Explore the exhibits with tailored activity kits designed for young children and visitors with sensory sensitivities in mind. Kits are available to pick up at the Information Desk or Box Office.

Student Art

Since 2014, curated student art exhibitions created by Metro Nashville Public School students have been displayed in the Taylor Swift Education Center. These works were inspired by visits to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, where students explored the galleries and participated in workshops with various artists.
