Over the past two decades, ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro has explored a variety of musical styles with the instrument, including jazz, rock, blues, bluegrass, folk and even classical. The Hawaii-born musician’s journey has taken him from local phenom and YouTube sensation, to headlining the world’s most prestigious concert venues, including the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center and the Sydney Opera House. He has performed on many TV shows and released a string of award-winning, chart-topping albums. He was recently nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as a member of the National Council on the Arts. His latest album, Jake & Friends, includes guests Jon Anderson of Yes, Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel, Jimmy Buffett, Amy Grant, Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers, Jack Johnson, Sonny Landreth, Kenny Loggins, Ziggy Marley, Michael McDonald, Bette Midler, Moon Taxi, Lukas Nelson, Billy Strings, Jesse Colin Young and Country Music Hall of Fame members Vince Gill and Willie Nelson.
