Musician Spotlight: Kristin Wilkinson
Arranger, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Kristin Wilkinson has performed live or recorded with Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, the Chicks, Whitney Houston, Loretta Lynn, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Trisha Yearwood. She has arranged strings for music recorded by Alabama, Joan Baez, Jimmy Buffett, Lady A, Stevie Nicks, John Prine, Linda Ronstadt, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban. Wilkinson received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Score for the film All the Pretty Horses; a Grammy nomination for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals, for Willie Nelson’s recording of “It Was a Very Good Year;” and several nominations for the Academy of Country Music’s Specialty Instrument Player of the Year award.
