John Hartford was an artist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who influenced Americana, bluegrass, and country music. He won four Grammy awards, wrote Glen Campbell’s “Gentle on My Mind,” and recorded more than thirty albums. Banjo and fiddle player Tyler Andal, seven-time national fiddle champion Megan Lynch Chowning, and International Bluegrass Music Association Mandolin Player of the Year nominee Tristan Scroggins will perform previously unheard compositions from Hartford’s catalog.
