Martina McBride will discuss her creative process and share the stories behind her music with songwriters and collaborators Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, Leslie Satcher, and Brett Warren. Husband-and-wife songwriters Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo co-wrote McBride’s singles “Cry, Cry (‘Til the Sun Shines)” and “This One’s for the Girls.” Sara Evans, Lonestar, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, and more have also recorded their songs. As one half of the Warren Brothers with his brother Brad, Brett Warren co-wrote McBride’s “Wrong Baby Wrong,” “Anyway,” and “Teenage Daughters” (the latter two with McBride). Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Jerrod Niemann, and more have also recorded songs by the Warren Brothers. Together, Lindsey, Mayo, and the Warren Brothers co-wrote “How I Feel” with McBride. Leslie Satcher wrote McBride’s “For These Times” and “When God-Fearin’ Women Get the Blues,” as well as songs recorded by Deana Carter, Kellie Pickler, George Strait, and Pam Tillis.

Presented in support of the exhibition Martina McBride: The Power of Her Voice.
