A native of Lorena, Texas, singer-songwriter Kimberly Kelly wrote “Blue Jean Country Queen” and “Person That You Marry,” songs from her July 8 debut Show Dog Nashville album, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, produced by her husband, Brett Tyler. Tyler co-wrote these songs, along with two others on the record, and he’s also written “Cold Beer Calling My Name” (Jameson Rodgers featuring Luke Combs). Hit songwriter Bobby Tomberlin contributed the song “Summers Like That” to Kelly’s project; he’s also written “A Good Day to Run” (Darryl Worley), “I’d Want It to Be You” (Blake Shelton and Barbra Streisand), “One More Day” (Diamond Rio), and songs recorded by Eddy Arnold, Willie Nelson, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Kenny Rogers.
