The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum maintains a partnership with CreatiVets to provide programmatic support to veterans interested in songwriting.
Partners Since 2018
Through our collaboration, over eighty veterans throughout the United States have written songs through the museum’s Words & Music and Songwriting 101 programs.
Helping to Heal
Songwriting can be a successful method for healing and coping and provides an outlet for processing memories and capturing feelings.
Sharing Experiences
Drawing inspiration from the rich tradition of expression that is the country music cannon, veterans’ shared experiences soon emerged into songs about strength, hope, and perseverance.
