NASHVILLE, Tenn. Oct. 4, 2016 – Country Music Hall of Fame members Alabama will sit for an in-depth interview at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov.5, in the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s CMA Theater. Cousins Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen make up one of the most successful groups in country music history. Band members will talk with museum editor Michael Gray about their journey. The interview will be illustrated with vintage photos, film clips, and recordings

The program is presented in support of the museum’s exhibition Alabama: Song of the South and is included with museum admission or museum membership. Seating is limited, and guests can reserve program passes beginning Friday, Oct. 7 at 10:00 a.m. here. This program will also be streamed live at countrymusichalloffame.org/streaming.

Few acts in country music have had more commercial success; enjoyed more media exposure; won more awards; and had more longevity than Alabama. Cook, Gentry, and Owen formed a band as teenagers in small-town Fort Payne, Alabama. For a decade, they honed their sound, developing a unique, crowd-pleasing blend of country music and Southern rock that earned them a contract with RCA in 1980. Alabama scored dozens of chart-topping singles while bringing younger listeners and pop audiences to country music. Alabama was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005, and the founding trio continues to record and tour.
