Museum Adds More Artists For Music Fest At The Hall Presented By Comcast

NASHVILLE, Tenn., – May 31, 2016 –The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will welcome thousands of country music fans to CMA Music Festival, June 9 to 12. All week, the museum will host autograph signings, performances and special programs, presented by Comcast, including just added signings with Mark Chesnutt, Dan + Shay, Brenda Lee,  Lonestar and Charley Pride. More signings will be announced in the days leading up to Music Fest. 

These artists join an already packed week of activity that includes an appearance by Blake Shelton in support of the new exhibition Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story, supported by SunTrust, as well as appearances by Gary Allan, Bill Anderson, Brandy Clark, Mickey Guyton, Oak Ridge Boys, RaeLynn, Aubrie Sellers and more. The museum will also host the only Nashville book signing with Scotty McCreery, who will be signing his new book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream.

In addition, visitors will get a first look at the newest installation of the museum’s ACM Gallery, including artifacts representing today’s hottest country artists, from Chris Stapleton to Kelsea Ballerini. With all-new additions, the ACM Gallery chronicles the latest chapter in country music’s ever-evolving story through a behind-the-scenes look at all things new and noteworthy from 2015. The update will include artifacts from Luke Bryan, Cam, Chris Janson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Aubrie Sellers, Cole Swindell and more.

Election to the Country Music Hall of Fame is country music's highest honor. Charlie Daniels, a 2016 inductee, will share stories of his career and discuss what it means to be included in this elite group with Music Fest attendees. WSM radio host Bill Cody will interview Daniels on the Close Up Stage at Fan Fair X located in the Music City Center on June 9 at 1:15 p.m.

Located inside of the Music City Center, Fan Fair X offers artist interactions, celebrity Q&A sessions, autographs, shopping and much more. The museum is once again offering a bundled ticket option with Fan Fair X. The ticket, which includes museum admission (good for single day until December 31, 2016) and four-day access to Fan Fair X is $39.95 and can be purchased at the museum’s box office or online.

Museum admission is not required for autograph signings. However, a purchase of artists’ merchandise from the Museum Store is necessary to participate. All programs are included with museum admission and free to museum members; capacity is limited. Call 615-416-2001 for more information on all programs.

Hands-on activities in the Taylor Swift Education Center will provide fun for children of all ages. Make a backstage pass from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. Additional family programs include Beginner Fiddle Workshop on Friday, June 10, at 1 p.m. and Guitar 101 on Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m.

Visitors who present their official CMA Music Festival badges or tickets will enjoy special discounts, including $4 off adult general admission to the museum or a $10 discount on museum membership. (No other discounts apply. Not valid on discount packages.) Offers are valid June 6-13, 2016.

In addition to the dining and retail discounts museum members enjoy throughout the year, they can also take advantage of a “fast-pass” ticket line Friday to Sunday of Music Fest.

2|22 will offer its regular lunch schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the museum’s snack bar will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Bajo Sexto Taco will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
