NASHVILLE, Tenn., October 6, 2015–One of Nashville’s most respected producers Garth Fundis will be honored in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Music Masters series on Saturday, October 10, at 1:30 p.m., in the museum’s Ford Theater. Fundis has collaborated with several of the top names in country music, including Don Williams, Keith Whitley,Trisha Yearwood and Sugarland. The program is presented in conjunction with the ongoing exhibition Trisha Yearwood: The Song Remembers When.

The veteran producer will discuss his career, with emphasis on his production work, in this multimedia program. Following the program, Fundis will sign copies of a Hatch Show Print poster commemorating the day.

Fundis has an unusually high success rate as a Nashville record producer, partly because he is selective about the artists he works with. He began collaborating with Don Williams on the singer’s recordings in the early 1970s, and he produced Trisha Yearwood’s record-breaking debut album in 1991. Fundis worked with Keith Whitley on his most enduring songs, and with Sugarland on their groundbreaking debut in 2004. He also has recorded albums with Alabama, New Grass Revival, Collin Raye, Doc Watson, and Lari White, among others. In the mid-1990s, Fundis presided over the Nashville division of the record label Almo Sounds.

Fans are invited to listen to a Music Masters Spotify playlist that features tracks produced by Fundis, including hits from Trisha Yearwood, Sheryl Crow, Keith Whitley, Sugarland and more.

Attendees must have a program pass to guarantee admission to this event. Program passes are free with Museum admission or membership and distributed two hours prior to the event at the Museum's box office on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is general admission and limited. Museum members only may also reserve their program passes in advance by phone (615-416-2050) or via Reservations@countrymusichalloffame.org. Reservations are accepted until 48 hours before the program, or until the program is at capacity. Tickets reserved by members are available for pickup at the entrance to the Museum's Ford Theater. The program will also be streamed live at countrymusichalloffame.org/streaming.
