The Acoustic Guitar Project, which is active in forty-two cities and has involved almost 400 songwriters, inspires musicians to write an original song and record it live in one week. During this program, the songwriters who recently participated in the project in Nashville will share the songs they wrote. Tyler Flowers is a winner of Puckett’s Rising Star Songwriting Contest and Sarah Darling’s touring guitarist. Sarah Hardwig has performed the national anthem at more than 200 professional sporting and entertainment events and released her debut single, “Who I Am,” in 2022. Autumn Nicholas has won several North Carolina–based singer-songwriter contests; has performed at CMA Fest’s CMA Close Up Stage, Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, and Newport Folk Festival; and is a member of the Black Opry. Indigo Pyles is a Nashville School of the Arts student and participates in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Words & Music program. Matthew Wayne has toured with the Avett Brothers, Ryan Cabrera, and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC and began releasing original music last year. Ford Theater. Included with Museum admission. Program ticket required. Free to Museum members.
