Community Pop-up: Suncatchers at Tennessee Craft Fair
Young artists will create their own colorful suncatchers, inspired by the Ryman Auditorium’s signature stained-glass windows. Formerly known as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, the Ryman began its journey to becoming the “Mother Church of Country Music” in 1945, when it became home to the Grand Ole Opry. Since that time, it has been the location of many iconic performances, from the twice-weekly radio broadcasts to early performances by Roy Acuff and Dolly Parton. Presented in support of the 54th Annual Spring Tennessee Craft Fair, celebrating Tennessee’s fine craft tradition by connecting the public with emerging and experienced makers using resources that celebrates Tennessee’s handmade legacy. Takes place at Centennial Park, 2500 West End Ave., Nashville, TN, 37203. All ages. Free.
